The Last Catch is Lisa D. Merrill's first short film. The story was born from an exercise with the San Diego Screenwriters Assn. The group had to come up with a short script or scene incorporating the words Bus Stop into it, thus The Last Catch came to life. Lisa hooked up with an independent film group in San Diego in September of 2005, they were looking for scripts, and chose The Last Catch to help make. The Last Catch gives us hope that love is indeed ageless and it’s really never too late to find the love of your life.

It was just another day in the monotonous life of retired fisherman,
Angelino Guerra. Then he met HER. . .and his whole world changed.
THE LAST CATCH proves to us all that we never know what life has
in store for us just around the corner. . . perhaps even waiting
at a bus stop.
